Adonías Quintero, born in 1959, is an Inga Indigenous man from the Putumayo region (Orito and Puerto Asís) in Colombia. He is a Tayta with more than 40 years of experience in the use of yagé or ayahuasca. In Colombia, being recognized as a Tayta —a term that means “father” in Quechua— implies possessing profound knowledge of the wisdom of yagé and the practice of working with its associated medicinal plants.
