Takiwasi

Takiwasi, Center for the Treatment of Drug and Alcohol Addiction an the Research of Traditional Medicines, opened its doors in 1992. A non-profit organization, Takiwasi was founded as a result of investigations that began in the year 1986 in the upper Peruvian amazon (province of San Martin). Its general objective is to reintroduce the human and natural resources within traditional medicines and to develop a truly alternative therapy in the treatment of addictions

Takiwasi's therapeutic model is innovative, unique in its field. It is characterized by a combination of psychological therapy and conventional medicine with the traditional medicine of the Amazon.
